District 300 Families are Invited to Attend Family Cyber Nights

All District 300 families are invited to attend Family Cyber Night, a fun, interactive, and hands-on seminar focused on teaching elementary and middle school students digital responsibility.

This free event is a perfect activity to attend during Bullying Prevention Month.

Family Cyber Night is a new program started in Illinois by The Parent Feed to educate all parents how to best navigate the new “Digital Generation.” During this interactive, 90-minute Family Cyber Night, parents will learn how to best engage with their children and address the most pressing digital topics such as online safety/security, the future impact of today’s online actions and cyberbullying. Parents will receive a hands-on review of the “Top Applications” and have a better understanding of how to proactively engage with their children and their digital lives.

Family Cyber Night will also include Project B3 - Be safe. Be smart. Be kind. -a fun and interactive seminar for elementary and middle school students focused on teaching Digital Responsibility. For the first time, students get to bring their devices to school and learn from high school students about how to be safe, responsible, and kind on their mobile devices and platforms. There will also be a raffle at the end of the seminar where students can win t-shirts and gift certificates!
