DRESS:  Come dressed in black to the first home volleyball game TONIGHT as we take on Grayslake Central. It is also Senior Night!  JV is at 5pm, sophomores at 5:30pm, freshmen at 6pm and Varsity at 6:30pm. See ya there!


GERMAN CLUB:  The first German Club meeting will be on Tuesday, September 8th right after school in room 157.  If you are not a member yet, you can sign up at that time.  We will elect our officers and start planning our Homecoming activities.  Everyone is welcome!


INTERESTED IN COSTA RICA?  Taking Spanish and interested in going to Costa Rica next summer? Bring your parents to the first trip meeting on September 9 at 7:00pm in room 156. Paper applications will be distributed to parents, guardians and students who are interested. Any questions, please see Mr. Illescas or Mr. Richardson. See you at the meeting!


POWDER PUFF FOR FROSH:  Freshmen Powder Puff team and coaches meet at 3:05 in room 106 on Tuesday, September 8 for practice schedule and to start practicing.  For questions see Ms. Donis or Ms. Avila.  


LADIES SOFTBALL:  Anyone interested in playing softball please attend a before school meeting in the field house September 9th at 7:15

POWDER PUFF FOR SOPHS:  Sophomore girls there will be a powder puff meeting in room 207 after school on Tuesday, September 8th.

WEIGHT ROOM:  Attention all studentS who are interested in continuing a healthy lifestyle.  The weight room will be open on Thursdays starting this week.  Come be around good people and good times.  No backpacks are allowed, athletic clothes only, from 3:05 - 4:05.  See you there!

FRENCH CLUB! Anyone interested in joining a super fun and friendly club, please come to a quick informative meeting after school on Wednesday, September 2nd, in room 150, to hear about the French Club! You don't even have to be in French class to join! Just be open to learning about a new language and culture, meeting great people, eating food, going on field trips, and playing French games with your friends! See Madame Ageneau or Madame Leffler for more information if you cannot attend the meeting on Wednesday. Merci!


VOLLEYBALL CONGRATULATIONS  to the JV Volleyball team on their 1st place finish on Saturday at the Rockford East Tournament!  Come to tonight's  first volleyball home game against Grayslake Central.  And we will be honoring our SENIORS!  JV plays at 5pm, sophomores at 5:30pm, freshmen at 6pm and varsity at 6:30pm.  See you there!!!


SENIORS, do you need help with the college admissions process?  There will be a presentation this Thursday in room 9 on everything college and specifically resume and personal statement writing.  Please sign up in the counseling office if you would like a pass inviting you to this event.

THEME THURSDAY!  This week's them for Theme Thursday will be 'Neon Day'! Wear a bunch of bright colors and remind your friends about it.

RACHEL’S CHALLENGE:   will have its first meeting on Wednesday September 9th in the auditorium at 3:05-4 p.m.  If you were part of the Rachel's Challenge Training please plan on attending, but all our welcome. If you have any questions, please see Mr. O'Donnell


L G B T  CLUB:  The awesome Dundee Crown LGBT club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, September 8th after school in room 209.  All students are welcome to attend to see what our great club is about.  Any questions see Ms. Chabi, Mr. O'Donnell, or Mr. Leist.  See you on Tuesday, September 8th after school. 


BETA CLUB:    Our first meeting of the school year will be Thursday September 3rd at 7:00 AM in the Annex. Beta Club is a student run service club that is open to anyone who wants to join.

D-C wants to hear from you!  D-C want’s to meet you!  Parents please join us for Coffee with the Principal!  Join us on September 3rd at 6:00 a.m. – yes – 6 a.m. and Monday October 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the evening and again on Tuesday, November 10th at 6:00 a.m. in the DCHS cafeteria.  The goal of these events is to encourage parents and community members to engage with the D-CHS administration.  The agenda will always be flexible and respond to our community’s concerns and ideas.  Please come and join us!!!

PARENTS/GUARDIANS:  DISTRICT 300 will begin transitioning to an online registration process.  Next school year all registration will be submitted online for everyone.  All parents/guardians will need an active Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to successfully complete online registration.  If you have not registered go to the District website ( and click on Parents  tab, then click to access I.C. Parent Portal  and follow instructions.
