Attention:  The next high school late start day will be on Monday, November 18th not on Monday, November 11th.

Northern Illinois University will be here on Nov. 15th for automatic admit applications for all students with an ACT score of 19 and a GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.  If you qualify, please sign up for an appointment with Mrs. Gavigan in the College and Career Center.  You will also need to request your transcripts for your Nov. 15th appointment.  All application fees will be waived for these on site admissions.  This is a one day only offer so sign up today as there are a limited number of appointments.

Congratulations to seniors, Brian Andersen, Caroline Hutton and Mary McNicholas for being named Commended students in the 2014 National Merit Program. They are part of the 34,000 Commended students throughout the nation being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than the 1.5 million students who took the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT)

The Junior Kane County Board is a body of students who will learn about American self-governance, Parliamentary Procedure, the structure of county government, and the ways that students can have a positive impact on the Kane County Community.

The Junior and Senior Class are running a canned food drive throughout October. We need to beat Huntley, Hampshire, and Jacobs for the 1st place prize of $2000, 2nd place gets $500! The food will be donated to the local pantry. We will also accept monetary donations. $1 = 2 cans.

The two 3rd period classes that collect the most amounts of cans, in combination with the monetary donations by October 18th will get doughnuts for breakfast!

Due to the inclement weather the DCHS Homecoming Parade has been cancelled.

Clinic for School Physicals and Immunizations (not sport physicals) on Monday September 16th 3:00-6:00.  Parent needs to contact DCHS Health Office to schedule appointments.
